Embarking on a 15-day journey across Gujarat, we had the privilege to document three powerful stories of transformation. These projects reflect the spirit of change, resilience, and collaboration shaping communities and industries in this vibrant state. As an international video production house based in India, Vega Productions was honored to support these life-changing documentary productions that bring positive transformation stories to light.
Reviving School Infrastructure - Public Schools in Gandhinagar and Vadnagar went through an overhaul.

Our first project took us to ten schools in Gandhinagar and Vadnagar, where the Airport Authority of India collaborated with the Nalanda Trust to renovate educational institutions. Among these was the very school where Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Ji Modi received his early education. We captured the before and after transformation state of the schools. With precision & dedication Nalanda Trust pulled of the amazing transformative work in nearly 6 months. The renovations included upgradation to smart classrooms, improved sitting, and wall color and informative art paint works, creating a better environment for students.

The documentary production focused on how these changes impact the daily lives of children and teachers. We filmed lively classrooms, interviews with educators, and the smiles of students eager to learn. This project highlights how infrastructure improvements can foster hope and opportunity in education.

Workers’ Unity: The Shipbreaking Unions’ Success Story
Midway through our journey, we shifted focus to the shipbreaking yards of Alang, where Alang Sosiya Ship Recycling & General Workers' Association (ASSRGWA), in solidarity with SMEFI, HMS, FNV, JBU and IndustriAll unions have made remarkable progress.

This documentary video production tells the story of visionary union leaders and international worker solidarity that brought positive change to one of the world’s largest ship recycling hubs. The video will highlight the transformative work of over 15 years, that changes the status of the industry.

We captured the scale of the shipbreaking yards, showing massive ships being dismantled. Highlighted safety gear and teamwork among workers. Interviews revealed how collective action improved working conditions, wages, and safety standards. This story is a powerful example of how organized labor and global voice can transform an industry.

Promoting Circular Economy: BIMCO’s Visit to Alang
Our final project involved line producing a documentary for BIMCO, one of the largest of the international shipping associations representing shipowners. BIMCO’s goal is to highlight best practices in shipbreaking and promote circular economy principles in Alang. A lean but efficient crew—led by BIMCO Video Producer Andreas Ekman and Prathamesh Rane (Line Producer & Stills Photographer from Vega Productions)—captured insights from BIMCO leadership, including Secretary General & CEO David Loosley and Regional Manager Captain Ashok Shrinivasan.

We documented the visit with a focus on sustainable practices, waste management, and the economic impact of recycling ships. The footage included detailed shots of recycling processes and interviews with local experts. This documentary production emphasizes the importance of responsible recycling and how it benefits both the environment and the economy.

Thanks to Leela Ship recycling, Bansal Green ship-recycling, Bansal Marine, Agrasen Shipbreakers, Priya Blue Shipbreakers, Rishi Kanakia & GMB for all the co-operation during the visit.
